Posted by Peter Rosa on Sat May 30 14:54:11 2009 Unlike most Puerto Ricans, she's not visibly mulatto. I'm guessing that a DNA test would show her ancestry to be at least 90% to 95% European. While there's something Asian-looking about her, that's probably just happenstance; Seth MacFarlane is also vaguely Asian-appearing but has no known Asian ancestry.As Sotomayor's confirmation hearings approach, and the racial angle gets more and more attention, it's important to determine whether she actually is a minority and whether she actually did face discrimination in her past.
