NO, a "first-generation" immigrant is the first of a family to move to a new country. If I immigrate into let's say "China", I am a first generation American living in China. My child, born there, would be a second generation. It's irrelevant when "Americans" first immgrated to China.But you already know that, I don't know what the nitpicking police are out for now, but your post doesn't make sense. |
