It's on the same level as the "Nation of Islam"'s jerkwad concept of "Yakub" the mad scientist creating white folk. There's ample scientific evidence supporting the assertion. The book Taboo by John Entine has a comprehensive discussion of the evidence. It's somewhat odd how so many people take offense at the merest hint that there may be some physical differences between the races that account for differences in athletic performance. We acknowledge that races differ in skin color, hair texture, and other features, yet refuse to accept the fact that athletic performances could possibly be affected. I don't know why.
