It's unfortunately the attitude of many more current immigrants that somehow the US should bend and make it easier for them and come with their hands out. That's a big change from immigrant groups prior, as those groups came here and knew they had to work and "bend" to make it here, and they did. You didn't have a whole subculture of immigrants with their hands out, and an attitude "what are you going to do for me". |
