I know so many Italians who have done the same.Some with long or unpronouncable names did so. But somebody simply named "Marco" or "Carlo" or "Anna" should have no reason to change his/her name. My brother went with a nickname for decades because his real name is hard to say for some but returned to his real name a few years ago. Me and a few others still call him by his nickname because it's cool. |
