My mother's family emigrated from Sicily in the 1890s. They were of course Italians but with a Spanish surname as many Sicilans have. Some of my other maternal Italian ancestors had names like Morales.Does this make me of 75% Italian and 25% Hispanic background? Or would I be considered of 100% Italian background. See how ridiculous this can get. |
