Asian I.Q. scores are no more that two or three points higher than the American average of 100, not nearly enough to account for Asian dominance in, for example, biochemistry.

With fields like biochemistry, the mean IQ is pretty meaningless (actually, mean IQ's are almost always pretty meaningless). What matters is the frequency of very high IQ's in the population. (Statistically speaking, you have to consider both the mean and the variance).
