Lots of Asians from Southeast Asia and the Philippines aren't doing all that much. The Cambodian neighborhood in Long Beach is basically a ghetto.Asians are dominating in schools. The percentage of Asians at UC schools is pretty amazing. There seems to be a fairly large achievement gap in America between Northeast Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans) and Southeast Asians (such as Vietnamese and Cambodians.) Pacific Islanders such as Samoans and Native Hawaiians are even worse off, but although included with Asians for statistical purposes they're quite different from a racial standpoint.
