Actually, according to a PATH car equipment foreman I knew An H drawhead cannot be installed on the PATH cars due to the complexity of the electrical connections on the GOHed PA-1s through 3s and PA-5s. PATH switched to OB drawheads because WH could not supply an electric portion on the H couplers with sufficient contacts to handle all the electrical amenities of the cars. There are also a few other vagaries that would make the PA car incompatible with the R-16 such as maximum speeds and acceleration/deceleration rates. Another factor to consider is that even if the R-16 could be coupled to the PATH car, unless TMNY has some sort of loop, another compatible car, if found, would have to be coupled to the other end of the PATH car since it has no motor controls at either end. |
