I talked to Mike Hanna a few weeks ago and told him about all this. He said, "McGinty, he's nothing" in a voice dripping with contempt. He also told me that the phony report posted on facebook claiming he passed away originated at TMNY. The whole time I was up there, everyone kept bad mouthing Hanna. Garces for example, constantly kept telling us that Hanna was slowly dying and that Hanna was senile, and that Hanna was always recriminating about past things Garces did. That's all I ever heard there, that: "Mike Hanna thinks these are his toys and won't let anyone play with them." But you know what? They never told Hanna that Risely ordered the locks on the Low-V clipped - he found that out from me. They also blamed Hanna for the damage caused by Sandy; they said that he refused to allow the loco and the other cars moved up behind the museum, and they were resentful that he did not trust anyone there. I can see why. |
