Did you know that there was once a plan to move the TMNY to Brooklyn's Bush Terminal, but that the then-president of TMNY concealed that offer from the trustees and nobody knew about it? McGinty didn't like that idea when I told him about it. He thought it would make TMNY come into too direct competition with Brooklyn's NYTM. But the great thing would have been that access to the repair shops and trackage would have made it feasible, and there would have been many visitors to the TMNY in that Brooklyn location. |
