It was brought up on one of the many threads about TMNY that the museum had the opportunity to acquire some space in Bush Terminal but turned it down due to its proximity to the NYTM. Assuming it was true, I have a few questions. Where exactly on Bush Terminal property would it have been? That is would it have been in an area where there would have been sufficient space to operate the cars? If there were to be sufficient operating room, then it doesn’t seem that it would have been real competition for the NYTM since the NYTM is not a true operating museum but is predominantly a static display so why was the location declined if in fact that was the case? |
