Why is it such a bad idea?Queens lacks the most connectivity out of all the boroughs except Staten island. Another east west route would be great! Using this route for subway service would get the most bang for the buck, but building a light rail network from the ground up is a massive undertaking. It Can be done. Looking around the country, even within our own backyard, successful systems are up and running. With miles and miles of underused ROWs, in Every borough,New York can carve out a "Second System" that could potentially be it's future. Triboro RX,BQT and Montauk.. even a Staten island route using the bridge.. Anything is possible. |
