It's time to restructure and eliminate express bus routes...

That's right I've said what needs to be said. It's time that certain express bus routes be completely eliminate altogether, and coupled with a restructuring of express bus fares. Express bus fares should be like commuter railroads, i.e. zone based. $5 fare isn't enough to turn over positive numbers on most express routes. Maximum fares should now be in the $10-$12 per direction range, or $200 a month area. Express busses in NYC are a waste of money, even in Staten Island. Certain SI routes can easily be eliminate along with bronx and queens bus routes with poor performance. All express routes should also look at a restructuring route wise to simplify routes and increase ridership along those routes. Also looking to reduce certain routes to only rush hour peak direction lowering operating costs.
