IAWTP. I can understand consolidating or eliminating routes in order to cut spending but I can't see eliminating all express bus routes.

First, I would get rid of the MCI buses. Things were perfectly fine when old RTS and Orions were used.

Second, route elimination. Routes such as the BxM7B, QM22, and QM3 are a waste. They only run one to two buses in each peak period and it's a waste to have them in there.

Finally, route consolidations. Don't know how the unions are for MTA NYC Buses and MTA Bus but consolidating routes under both sub agencies would be a great idea. Someone mentioned earlier about having the X51 running out to Little Neck to replace the OM3, which could work.

I think doing this would be much more accepting towards both MTA and the riding public.
