The Connection Between WTC and Cortlandt St

This connection would prove to be pretty useful for GO's. I know they are building a walking transfer but a one seat ride from Whitehall via 8th Ave would be more useful. It doesn't even have to be a flying junction. With just the R and the E to work with it can be at grade. Close the WTC E train platform and extend the E train to Whitehall.

Seriously what is there between the WTC E train tail tracks and Cortlandt St, when you remove the wall? 20 to 30 yards? Get with it MTA.
