If you ever go to Grand Street, look into the tunnel north of the station. The existing tracks swerve away from each other before going up and away to Bway-Lafayette. The space they occupied continues for a few more feet before they reach some equipment sheds and a wall. That's the trackways I'm referring to (NOT behind the platform walls 8-)).
