We didn't enter the war until the end of 1941 and finished in August 1945. You would think 179 should have been finished with the rest of the line, especially as the O.P. stated, 169 isn't great as a terminal. I would think the real reason is the same as why the Second Avenue Subway is taking so long; bureaucratic delays and nonsense. |
