I don't think that all four tracks need to be usedAll 4 tracks need to be used. J+T+SAS/QB > 30tph. That means that one of these three routes has to terminate at Chambers, which is north of the Financial District. The R uses the Montague St Tunnel. That's 10tph, so one of the SAS routes would have to terminate at Broad St. This is one of many reasons why Nassau St is an inferior option. Creating a permanent restriction on capacity is poor long range planning. |
