What year did the original fleet start being withdrawn from revenue service on the IND?

Was it the R-32s or 38's that began replacing them? I don't remember.

I remember them in service on the Eastern Divison in 1968, were they transferred there immediatley upon leaving the IND, or was there any kind of lapse, 6 months to a year for example?

If anyone has or remembers a subject line if this has already been discussed, info. would be welcomed. Always interested in the original IND fleet

**One more question that just occurred to me, did the IND front or side roll signs ever get any designations for the IND 2nd system? (I know about the others added for Chrystie St. service)
