Yes, although on the IRT in the old days, Tw/M usually didn’t keep train interval (gap) sheets at locations where there was a supervisor. On the BMT, on the other hand even when there was a supervisor in a tower like Dekalb or City Hall, the Tw/M kept gap sheets and the T/D just observed unless there was a service disruption that required his intevention. The IND tended to follow IRT procedure more closely so at places like 125 St and W 4 St the T/D and ATD kept the gap sheets and the Tw/M just lined up trains as he saw them unless ordered otherwise by the supervisor.
