The QB ended up with the R/G markers of the pre Chrystie Brighton Exp and the reason the RR was made W/W was because the TA wanted the D exp to retain its original G/G markers. By the way, one thing I noticed about the pre Chrystie BMT was that it didn’t seem top make a difference which side the markers were on since there were no duplications. Thus the Sea Beach could be either R/W or W/R, the Brighton Exp could be either G/R or R/G. Also, pre Chrystie, the Brighton Lcl carried R/R going to Astoria and W/W going towards Stl which may explain why the RR was assigned W/W in both directions post Chrystie. Now on the pre Chrystie IND, the order of the colors did make a difference. For example, the E to/from Hudson Terminal was R/W while the F to Bway Laf (and later 2 Ave) was W/R. The D when lcl on the Concourse was G/Y while the BB was Y/G. |
