I'm fine with constitutional amendment by popular initiative as long as it:1. Is one single issue per question 2. Obtains a required supermajority (say 60%) 3. along with a minimum quorum of voters (say 35%) 3. Is placed on the ballot on dates that are different from those of the general election. |

I agree with those.Speaking of single issues, I believe that all bills should pertain to a single subject/issue, which is stated succinctly in the title. That is actually a provision from the Confederate Constitution. So the South didn't secede over slavery, they seceded over preventing Congress from enacting omnibus bills! #southernrevisionism |

It's the ULTIMATE disloyalty to the United States when using such a pansy term when referring to opposition to a Manchurian Occupant of the White House who is committing High Treason. Yes it was a poorer brother of West Germany and things were tense as we got there after the Prague Spring, but it wasn't scary. I saw soldiers with machine guns about as often as I do nowadays at Grand Central. When we crossed the border near Fulda to leave, they ordered us out of the car and took the seats out to make sure we weren't smuggling anyone out (they were touchy about that). My dad or uncle bought me a train model of East German multilevel coaches like this:![]() At the border one of the guards questioned why we had this model and I thought he was going to keep it but we ended up putting our car back together and crossing the border. I returned twice since then and found it increasingly friendly, especially if I brought Led Zeppelin records 😀 At any rate, I never felt nor found it scary. Just a bit tense sometimes. |

The left has been trying to erase the phrase "No king but Jesus" from US history. And some traditions hold that the stone that's placed under the British coronation chair is actually the throne of King David of Israel, originally the pillar stone of the patriarch Jacob (renamed Israel) and brought to Ireland by the prophet Jeremiah after the Babylonians invaded Jerusalem and took the Jews captive to Babylon. Luke 1:32 says that Jesus will receive "the throne of his father David". ![]() |
