You wouldn't have necessarily lost their respect by not letting them have their way, you would have lost it by being a jerk who clearly won't recognize or admit that you were wrong. And Trump, BTW, doesn't have the advantage of being the other nations' parent - it's closer to the other way around.And where did you get the idea that we were "following"? We negotiated the agreement along with all the other major nations. |
