Stop reading way more into my comment than was actually there. That being said, our govt., Constitution, laws, and even our religion and language are all based on things that were developed in Europe and beyond over hundreds of years. We're old enough to have our own "culture" now, but there are reasons why we hold special admiration for Europe's landmarks, art, etc. And to top it off, a lot of us still go "squee" over monarchies, esp. England's. |
