I agree. What is interesting is that another Q unit 1602, although unrepainted, was stamped “museum” on the front of the end units yet the perfectly restored 1622 unit was butchered to make the BUs while 1602 could have been the unit converted back. Even at that, another single Q car 1612C was the one repainted in the blue and orange for preservation in the museum. While the efforts of the transit museum staff is to be appreciated for bothering to preserve the cars at all, sometimes their lack of accurate historical knowledge amazes me! |
