The issuance of the uniforms to train operators happened after 1985 which is the year my father retired as a motorman. Although he favored the pinstripes (don't recall which type) he also had navy blue overalls which he wore sometimes. He used to buy his overalls at a store on the corner of 124th St. and Lexington Avenue. |
