It seems that in 1911 Anheuser Busch signed an agreement to only use the name Budweiser in North America.And please note that German was the official language of the area where Budweiser was originally made for 133 of the 215 years since the beer was first made there. So perhaps the name "Budweiser" has some pretty strong roots in Europe. |
