That's only in the last 25 years or so. It wasn't like that between the end of Prohibition and roughly the mid 80's. A-B and Miller even had local markets monopolized. You couldn't even get many Western US beers in the Tri-State area until just a couple of decades ago.My entire "drinking" life I have had "choice". Even crappy bars have more than "Bud", and I don't ever going to a restaurant or bar that didn't have choices. Anybody 60 years old or younger have absolutely no relevance to what you are talking about, as anyone that age ALWAYS had choice. |
