Americans don't have different tastes. You give an American a good product and he/she will like it.

NO, Americans have a different taste than other countries. and other countries have different tastes from other countries. ALL countries have different tastes. That is culture. And what you're saying PROVES you are being snobby about this. You basically are saying that the other country's "tastes" are right, and that Americans are wrong.

The big companies like AB, Miller, etc locked out Americans from trying out these good products for decades.

Maybe for people in their 60's and 70's, but anyone younger than 50, who drinks the majority of beer, have had choice their whole lives. People who are 50 have been drinking for 30 years, and there was no shortage of choice in the 1980's.

Your example is that when a starving African who's been eating maggots all his life finally tastes some good food, he must hate Africa even if the newer good food is being made by other Africans as if their is something quintessentially African with eating maggots..

Absurd.
