Because you don't WANT to believe it:

If you used common sense, you would realize the former M and most J riders won't be clogging the F at Delancey once the new V starts (as they'll either stay on the V or make a same platform transfer to the V at Essex). Lose those riders, and suddenly you have considerably more room at 2nd Avenue when the F arrives there.

If you weren't so upset about losing YOUR one-seat ride on the V where you didn't have to stand you would realize this.
