And guess what:

A lot of the time the tourists go to Katz's Deli, only the F is running there.

As for the new buildings, I'll give you that, but I lived for 15 years in the densest part of Manhattan (Upper East Side) with only the 6 train at 77th/Lex in my case, so I have little sympathy for your losing the V when you still have the F.
