Just for the record, the area around 2nd Avenue has seen a noticible population growth in the last six years. You have Avalon Chrystie & Bowery Place (huge buildings I might add) and of course The Ludlow on Ludlow and Houston Streets. In addition, tourists use that station to go to Katz Delicatessen (its noted that is mostly tourists who go there). Try doing a bit of research to see how things changed where 2nd Avenue station is.
