They are all deathly afraid that their community will become like the 5 Towns. Their fears are justified.

However, if they try to make laws that function to ban religious practice, they will lose every time. The Village of Westhampton tried to do that and after years of litigation and lots of attorneys fees, they ended up losing. Municipalities cannot make any laws that function to restrict religion.

So the people take it to the streets.
