I think your posts have been funny, those that were intended partially as such.While this cannot always be said for other non-dietary laws. The laws of kosher food purity is clearly rooted in moralistic reasons. Maybe others would disagree with me, but to me they make sense. Like I said with Lunch's posts(pun intented, food subject), Kosher is a lot more than "no lobster or bacon" as we always hear, it encompasses all food. In the beginning meat was not even allowed, now it is. It is unfortunate I know so little of Halal versus the rest of the daily Islamic teachings in the press. I would've liked to use that as an example if one should exist. Then again, I get the urge to walk to up people in priests outfits and ask them why they seem to follow no dietary laws that I can notice. |
