My family took the Worlds Fair bus from Flatbush & Nostrand in Brooklyn. IIRC he fare was $1. It was possibly the worst bus ride in my life. Of course I don't remember the exact route but do remember that the bus took forever to get to the World's Fair, apparently passing through some pretty bad neighborhoods along the way.The TA was too cheap and stupid to purchase air-conditioned buses for the WF specials, so we all sweltered in this bus with the windows blowing hot air and exhaust fumes on the passengers. |
