Of course I don't remember the exact route but do remember that the bus took forever to get to the World's Fair, apparently passing through some pretty bad neighborhoods along the way. Surface Transit had a few routes that took forever to get where they were going. WE would take the old Bx-29 Willis Avenue bus from 156th Street down to the Day Line pier at 125th Street. When you got on the bus you were just entering the first grade. By the time that you got off you were leaving high school. Larry, RedbirdR33 |
