They went to each of the PBLs in Queens and those at Queen Surface and Jamaica Buses outlasted the others. The TA also had 13 units that were 96-in wide (like those at Queens/Steinway Transit) with 8V71N engines that were intended for Ave B/E. Bway. They were diverted to the TA (as 553-565) since Ave B/E Bway had ceased operation by the time the buses had arrived. Interesting enough MSBA also operated their 870s for their full lifespan. |
