Yes, the electrification of a route tends to be a singular event. A few reelectrifications have been finished, so I guess in that case then the electrification could be said to occur twice. Hey, a few British lines which transitioned from 1500vdc to 6.25kv AC and then to 25kv once clearances were worked out could be said to have electrified no less than three times.Unless of course you're saying that I somehow know NJT is planning to electrify in the near future. I don't, but what is the point of doing these short term fixes? The only real long term solution is to electrify the line and save on the operational costs. |
