I'm not nostalgic to the way the system looked, or nostalgic to the condition of the subway then. The nostalgia probably just is high for those of us that were teenagers because, for me personally, I get some rush of memories coming back when I see those photos. I had SO many good times on those trains, and I guess like most people look fondly on their childhood years, that's probably what makes all of us get a warm feeling of nostalgia come over us when we see those photos. it's not the condition or what the subway was like back then that is nostalgic, it's all the memories that goes along with it (many good ones) that all come back. |
