I distinctly remember a story, I think in the Voice, back in the 80's about the Livonia el called 'The Beast'. Back then, I would ride pretty much all of the lines including the Broadway el - no problem, but I have only recently ventured out onto that line for the first time! (this was due in part to moving out of the city to the midwest in 1991 and only just moving back last year - riding out to Livonia wasn't too high on my priorities when I came back to visit...) |
