THAT'S the one ... sorry, been a long time and too many toys from hither to yon in between. :)I rolled my own from scratch in 1981 called "TBE - The Big Experiment" written in TI-BASIC, 99 assembler and P-code and for the port to IBM, worked with a really nice guy named Hue An Wang (his dad owned a computer company) which eventually became "Citadel" ... got ported to just about every platform in existence when we rewrote it in ANSI C. It was a room-based thing from which today's "forum-based" boards came into existence ... I always found the other BBS programs to be wasteful, insecure and bloated. TBE in its last new version in 1996 was still less than 64k for its core and highly secure. No TBE or Citadel system EVER got "hacked." EVER. |
