reading the latest RPA plans gave me another idea for NJT in LIRR territory

instead of a new e river tunnel from the s penn, run these tunnels eastwards and up park ave to connect with the tail tracks of ESA, thereby giving NJT access to GCT, east side and sunnyside to layup their trains mid-day between the AM and PM peak times

LIRR could get a simiar arrangement to use of the Hudson tunnels (new or old) to do their mid-day layup in NJ
