I don't live there either, but I've been there and it took only a matter of moments to look up when the last major gun legislation was passed there and who was running the legislative and executive branches within the state then. You opted to make baseless accusations because it is easy for you to do that while you sit behind your computer screen.

Not that you care to do your homework, but since 1992, there have only been four years that there's been a Democratic "trifecta" controlling the Minnesota House, Senate, and governorship. There's been no Republican trifectas.

You also couldn't be bothered to look up whether they actually legislated that tampons be provided in boys bathrooms. That never happened, nor is there any evidence that I can find indicating that any school district has done so. Perhaps you want to share what you know and the rest of us don't?

Minnesota shooter wrote of killing ‘filthy Zionist Jews,’ ‘free Palestine’

Robin Westman, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot after killing two children at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minn., wrote of murdering “filthy Zionist Jews,” that “six million wasn’t enough” and “free Palestine,” the New York Post reported on Wednesday.

The Post said that it translated writings in the Cyrillic alphabet by the shooter, 32, who was transgender. “If I will carry out a racially motivated attack, it would be most likely against filthy Zionist jews,” the shooter reportedly wrote in a journal that the paper said was “full of antisemitic slurs.”

Westman also wrote of assassinating U.S. President Donald Trump, the Post reported. Minneapolis police stated that of 17 people injured, 14 are children. Two are in critical condition, police said.

Police said that the shooting took place “during a morning mass service to mark the beginning of the school year.”

The Anti-Defamation League stated that its preliminary research “confirmed that writings on the guns used by the shooter” in the attack “include antisemitic and anti-Israel references.”

Those included “praise for mass killers across the ideological spectrum, including white supremacist, anti-Muslim and anti-government extremists” and “other school shooters,” the ADL said.

“I am heartbroken to learn of the horrific mass shooting, a Minnesota Catholic school that has left two children dead and 17 others injured,” stated Rep. Seth Magaziner (D-R.I.), ranking member of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Intelligence and Law Enforcement.

“This is not normal or inevitable,” added Magaziner, who is Jewish. “We have the power and the responsibility to prevent horrific acts of violence like this from happening. We must put an end to gun violence.”

Jacob Frey, the mayor of Minneapolis, stated that “there are no words that can capture the horror and tragedy of the unspeakable act of evil at Annunciation Catholic Church.”

“Children have been killed, more are injured, and our community is shaken,” Frey stated. “Right now, our entire city needs to wrap these families in love and support.”

“Our entire community has been traumatized by this attack,” stated Brian O’Hara, the police chief. “Our hearts are broken by the sheer cruelty of this tragedy and deliberate act against kids.”

I recently saw a hack with another use other than the original.

Brand new, un-used tampons were placed in a fry pan while cooking down 80% fat free chopped beef.

The tampons absorbed the liquefied fat.

I am guessing the tampons do not contain the same gel beads in sanitary pads.

Sanitary pads are eggs-cell-ant for wiping down a freshly washed car, leaving no streaks!!

This isn’t some random person you encounter, it’s a murderer. Why can’t we consider her* possible mental illness. There is obviously comorbidity between various mental issues and identifying as transgender; we should not be afraid to look into that.

We start out with the premise that Westman is a biological male. Given that he is so deluded as to believe that he is a female, he should have immediately been red flagged and his guns should have been taken from him. Unfortunately, while other delusions are treated as they are just delusions, gender dysphoria is treated by affirming that the delusion is fact. While nothing has yet been revealed about mr. Westman having been prescribed drugs to support his delusion and aid in his transformation, we also need to explore how such drugs and hormonal suppliments actually affect the psyche of the afflicted.

My point was this person was mentally ill and even if you don’t consider “gender dysphoria” a mental illness, it’s comorbid with other mental illnesses, including the kind that causes people to want to kill themselves. That is something that we as a society can’t explore because “transitioning” is celebrated.

I don't see celebration. I see sympathy (from some).

There is extensive examination of gender dysphoria as a form of mental illness. The goal is to help these folks be less miserable. The medical profession is trying to address that, sometimes with massive interference from government.

Obviously violent mental illness is correlated with mental illness (duh!). But there is no evidence that it is more correlated with gender dysphoria than with other forms of mental illness.

Many people suffering from gender dysphoria will never kill anyone (except unfortunately themselves), and when you bring up the fact that so many people with gender issues also have other mental illnesses, you’re either called a MAGA, or people dismiss trans suicides as being caused solely by bullying.

Asking uncomfortable questions and getting the answers (and I don’t mean by disparaging their conditions) is how we help.

If you're ranting about ignorant people, I don't disagree. But the medical community is in general responsible in its view of gender dysphoria. Its attitude is: how can we best improve these people's lives.

PS. Obviously trans suicides aren't only caused by bullying. If that were the case, trans people could eliminate their misery just by hiding their condition.

Interesting idea from Steve Sailer:

The kind of sickos who carry out school shootings tend to not have access to illegal handguns.
Say you are a 13 year old who has decided to commit to Thug Life and thus needs a gun because otherwise various Thug Life guys might shoot you. You probably have a cousin who has a friend who knows a guy who can get you a gun.
Thug Life guys tend to have lots of friends.
On the other hand, say you are a transgender potential school shooter. You probably don’t have any friends other than the people online who told you to go trans. Everybody in meatspace who actually knows you thinks you are a dangerous loon.
Nobody who actually knows you would sell you a gun.
So your only chance of obtaining a gun is through normal retail trade from people who don’t know you.
That raises the question of what should be the policy for point-of-sale gun control.
Should transgenderism be a red flag preventing anybody from legally buying a gun?

Doubt this will ever happen.

He's actually making the case for stricter gun control in general. The transgender mentally ill make up only a tiny percentage of the entire category of violently mentally ill.

Not that the existing system is necessarily good at keeping guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. As a comment pointed out:

Form 4473, which a prospective firearm buyer has to fill out before his purchase is approved, has only one question regarding mental health: "Have you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective OR have you ever been committed to a mental institution?"
A lot of crazy people you see wandering big city streets could honestly answer no to both those questions. That they committed a mass shooting may be the first indication that they're totally nuts.

It’s probably not quite this bad in practice, as many of the hardcore lunatics are likely to have criminal records that will disqualify them from gun ownership.
