We start out with the premise that Westman is a biological male. Given that he is so deluded as to believe that he is a female, he should have immediately been red flagged and his guns should have been taken from him. Unfortunately, while other delusions are treated as they are just delusions, gender dysphoria is treated by affirming that the delusion is fact. While nothing has yet been revealed about mr. Westman having been prescribed drugs to support his delusion and aid in his transformation, we also need to explore how such drugs and hormonal suppliments actually affect the psyche of the afflicted. |
