I recently saw a hack with another use other than the original.

Brand new, un-used tampons were placed in a fry pan while cooking down 80% fat free chopped beef.

The tampons absorbed the liquefied fat.

I am guessing the tampons do not contain the same gel beads in sanitary pads.

Sanitary pads are eggs-cell-ant for wiping down a freshly washed car, leaving no streaks!!
