The "Green New Deal" and "Medicare for All" are extreme proposals that I would expect Republicans to block if they can. It's just the way McConnell says it that sounds petty and childish. Like he would block them, not because he simply thinks they are bad ideas, but simply out of spite. Meaning he might block lesser Democratic proposals that do have merit as well. He is up for reelection, and he should lose his seat as a result of this statement. In fact, he should lose the Republican nomination in the primary. But I don't expect it.
