I want to get to 180-185. After loosing the 25 lbs, I'm already within normal range for where a 6 foot male should be, which is 185-220. I was 220, the highest I ever was in February, which spurred me to start really watching. I tried a low carb diet about 2 years ago, but I saw that as unhealthy. Skip fruits and veggies and eat all the bacon, fat and cheese you want?
So I am doing a less stringent weight watchers style eating , portion control, counting points, etc. I was never a bad eater....didn't eat much sweets, and always loved vegetables, but when I ate so.wthing I liked, I went for seconds and thirds,. Now eat smaller portions, eat more vegetables, go for the fish or chicken at restaurants, etc. Still have beef once a week or so though, couldn't cut it out completely, but it's been working for me. And yes, cut out all sugar drinks, including juices. But that was because my doctor said I was borderline diabetic. But between eating better, and losing the 25+ lbs, that should be better now too. I never was a desserts person. Have sweets once a week or two, that's really it.
