The new buses are going to suck for drivers. Went on an investigation today and the new buses 4073 and 4074 their INIT system (I'm sure you know the dispatch and fare-box systems) is now a flat screen computer. After 5 minutes of Idling this new computer shuts the bus off completely and the driver has to reprogram this computer every time the bus gets turned on. The AM Bus Assignment guy for Albany says its gonna go a lot over drivers heads, they're not going to like and says more are coming next month. But then the PM guy who I met for the first time today says 20 of them are coming in October.
