Sounds better than the lax expresses of today. The local train usually ends up picking up speed, and going about 5MPH slower than the express. Express trains rarely blow by locals now.. :( Cars are too neutered. It is that BS 40-45 MPH top speed :(. The older cars probably hit 60 or so MPH...especially in the TUBES...without timers.

And the Arnines DID outperform a hippo when i was on them.
